Parents saw a Jajuar for $9,000?

any ideas what the model is and if its an expensive one why would they sell it at a low price the car is used, I havent seen the car yet but i might want to buy it. They described it as an old classic car and my mom liked it so that means it didn`t look really old

You can find a 2002 Jaguar X-Type for around there. Most likely is is the 2.5 Model, rather than the 3.0 Model which is better on every level. To say the least, the Jaguar fails to exceed the competition on every level except for the standard AWD. The 2.5 is sluggish, has subpar material qualities and reliability, and looks just plain ugly. The main reason it is so cheap is because of the horrid resale value.

Jaguar

is a very expensive car to buy, own and repair.

if you see one for sale at a "bargain" price run in the other direction.

unless your a mechanic, don't buy an Audi, Saab, MB or a Jaguar.

and don't ever buy a Jeep or a Range Rover.

If its from the 30's to 60's for $9000, plan to spend $10,000 plus to get it in drivable shape. From the 70's or 80's it could be in drivable shape, overpriced, and plan on $1000+ a year to maintain and a month in the shop waiting for parts. From 90's on it will be overpriced, high maintanance used car. Kelly blue book for '85 xj6 with only 100,000 in good condition, only $5,500. For $9,000 they show a 2000 XJ8 with only 100,000 miles.

DONT BUY THAT! You are talking about a XJ6 Sovereign  or a XJ12 Vanden Plas. The electronics are always finished and the V12 is always broken, and this price is very crazy anyway i wont pay that for a sovereign, my dad just sold a 1990 at 4000$ can

first it is jaguar.

second classic means older car.

third it either is a piece of c**p or it has mechanical problems or has a lot of miles on it.

a jaguar is expensive.

definately look at it, test drive it before you buy it.
