  1. Nothing. If I ask to do something, and my parents aren't too busy, and I haven't done anything to make them say no, then they will generally say yes, but sometimes they just can't do it. When that happens, I accept it.

It seems kind of selfish to keep trying to get them to do something that they are just too busy for. It's not as if they are saying no out of spite, and I think I can handle skipping one thing to help maintain my parents' sanity.

So, in short, you can't, and you just need to accept that.

  2. I think Vanessa wants to spend the night somewhere and mommy or daddy said no.

I've tried for years. My mom is more stubborn than I am. No amount of reasoning or whining would get me what I wanted.

  3. If your mom and dad say no, then no means no. When i tell my kids no I mean it and I dont give in...sorry..Deal with the NO answer..You'll understand why when you become a parent.

  4. Well if I'm busy- then I'm busy. The answer is No.

The only thing that would change that is if my daughters friend had a family emergency and her parents NEEDED her to stay that night. Other than that- I won;t go back on my word.
