  1. i would consider a 17 year old. its when she wants to date a 27 year old is when i put my foot down!!!

  2. I would think that if they're one or two school grades apart that would be ok.

  3. Y NOT?

  4. i would frown upon it but not forbid it because then she is likely to go behind your back

  5. depends on the guy....and the parents and his character !!!

  6. if she really likes this guy + you stop her from seeing him she is more likely to rebel against you. most girls are dating from being 12 + 13 and my 15 year old friend is in a relationship with a 22 year old, who isn't taking advantage at all.

All people are different you should just meet him if you are worried.

  7. I would not allow it. He could take advantage of her.

  8. i'd say that was fairly normal. but i would also think that the 17 year old is only wanting to date the 14-15 year old in order to take advantage of or use her somehow. and i'm not just talking s*x here. there are other ways of using people.

  9. The real problem is that, as a general rule, 17 year old boys want very different things from life and relationships than 15 year old girls. The mental and emotional leaps teenagers make from year to year are immense. Your daughter probably doesn't have much in common with him except, possibly, taste in music or films. That's not a great basis for a relationship.

Personally, I'd take the time out to meet him, see if you think he's someone you'd want spending time alone with your daughter. But as a general rule, I can't say I honestly believe that 14-15 year olds are emotionally equipped for dating, especially not older boys. Of course, there are exceptions, which is why I advise at least meeting him.

  10. that its fine but i would have to meet him....i would have to see if i trust my child before they  go out...we would need to have open communication

  11. I'm not a parent, but I dated an 18 year old when I was 15.  He was only two grades ahead of me because I skipped a grade.  It really depends on the guy and the girl - he was a really great guy who was a total gentleman and I was a quite responsible teenager.

  12. What a bunch of tight arses. If she wants to, let her, let her make her own mistakes. Jesus, if you lot were my parents I'd just leave home. It depends totally on who he is, just because he's a few years older doesn't mean he's only with her for s*x. I respect my parents decison but let go? I'm aware you're just concerned though.

  13. ha. let her go for it loll. but i'm not a parent. my friend is 14 and she's dating a 17 year old.

  14. Tell her that she can not. She is far to young to date, has she even lived on her own for a year and paid bills by herself? After she can do that and doesn't need you to rely on her, then tell her that she can s***w up her life all she wants.

  15. meet the chap and see what he's like

  16. Naturally be skeptical, but the age gap isn't too large. Let them date a little, but keep an eye on personal activities. Remember, your the parent. Make sure she doesn't drop in her grades and also be prepared for rebellion. It will always happen.

  17. I do have a 15 year old daughter and she does not date at all because I will not allow that

  18. well i did. But let me tell you that older boys and younger girls. They can lead to trouble.Im NOT saying all.But make sure you keep communication open with your daughter. You dont want her not to come to you if she needs anything

  19. That the 17 year old boy is only wanting to date someone so young to take their virginity and to easily control them. Girls that young are so naive.

  20. allow her but  prevent her about twhat boys think, what boys want from a women..

recomendation.. pick her up  to the place of the date, and call her in the midle of the date to ask her iif she is ok... i know you want to protect her
