Parents what would you want from your child?

I have great parents...and i tell them how much they mean to me all the time..but now that I am older with a real job..I want to get them something or do something or say something that really shows my appreciation...my question is for parents..what could your 21 year old child give you or do for you to show you how much they really care and appreciate everything youve done for them?

I think that they probably know all of that just by the kind of person you have become and the way that you treat them.  I don't think there is any gift that you could give that would tell them as much as you just saying it to them and showing your appreciation.

leave us alone and to stop bugging and being annoying and to stop asking stupid questions on yahoo  to what they can to do repay us for all the heartache and spending many nights worrying and not sleeping.

Depends on how far you want to go with this gift. If there are no limits, I'd say a cruise!

I would be soooooo happy if my girls would further their education.  I cannot afford to send them and they don't want to go.  I know it's going to be hard for them with just a HS education.  For them to make up their minds what they want to do with their life and get on with it would be the greatest gift.  They are 20 & 24 yo.

nothing monetary  just knowing you have raised a good kind gentle person is enough  parents are there for you when you are young are you going to be there for your parents when they are old --

not much but you can spend the day with them going fishing and let them have it their way

i think it depends on how much you want to do for them, where they are in their lives, working, retired, have anyone else in their lives that they are doing things with, how much you want to spend..

but maybe you could do a vacation, or get some of their favorite places to bring meals to their house, a family photo done by a professional, maybe a family photo album done like a scrapbook. maybe you could throw them an anniversary party if they have a "big" one coming up or birthday

Invite them to go on a trip with you, on your tab.   There's nothing as cool as knowing that your child actually WANTS to spend time with you.

Take them out to dinner and give them a card that explains how great they are.
