  1. I have a friend (we are older now) and she was telling me that that is how she went through school.  I mean what else would you want them to do? just as long as she is comfortable and wear outfits that doesn't "show" it.

plus at that age is she really caring?  I have a 9 year old and she could care less about what other people think of her clothing and what it looks like.  in a way it is a good thing. ^_^

  2. MY LITTLE GIRL HAS SPINA BIFIDA AND SHE IS 7.SHE WEARS DIAPERS TO SCHOOL TOO AND TO TELL U THE TRUTH U PROBABLY WORRY ABOUT IT MORE THAN SHE DOES!BUT IVE BEEN WHERE U ARE WORRYING TOO,SO I USE THE CLOTH DIAPERS.THEY DONT MAKE THE NOISE THAT THE PLASTIC ONES DO.AND WE WENT TO TARGET AND I LET HER PICK OUT SOME BIG GIRL PANTIES.JUST PUT EM ON OVER THE DIAPER AND PROBLEM SOLVED!HOPE THIS HELPS.

  3. My son has SB and is six years old and has been wearing diapers to school. The school nurse changes him when needed and also takes care of catheterizing him every few hours. His Urologist has talked about doing a MACE surgery this summer so we will be able to flush out his bowels nightly and he will be able to get out of the diapers. He takes Ditropan three times a day to keep him from leaking urine between being catheterized.

To be honest my son couldn't care less. His diapers are prescription so they don't make any noise. The other kids have said sometimes that he smells but he is totally unaware of it. They all still like and play with him so don't stress too much.
