Parinyawat Thongnuam beats Ching Yao Lu in qualifying round at Macau Open Badminton Grand Prix Gold
Thailand’s Parinyawat Thongnuam got off a wonderful start in Men’s Singles qualifying round when he toppled Chinese Taipei’s Ching Yao Lu at the Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton Grand Prix Gold 2012 in Macau, on Tuesday, November 27.
Thai shuttler has been struggling hard to make his presence felt in recent months and in Macau Open, he proved his elevated craft in the arena and remained successful in crushing his Taipei rival in just 22 minutes.
Thongnuam was in remarkable form as he played with remarkable speed and precision in the arena and managed to overpower his challenger in straight sets with a huge margin on the score board.
In the meanwhile, Ching Yao failed to show his real class as he could not play positive badminton throughout the clash. He failed to find gaps and eventually lost the battle without claiming any game.
The hard to match speed and powerful strokes of Thongnuam helped him to take control of the affairs from the initial points of opening game.
Thongnuam proved that he has attained top class skills of badminton as he showed an amazing composure in his play and eventually became successful in taking a strong position against his rival.
Until the one-minute interval, the aggressive Thai player was leading the game with a wonderful difference as he did not face any resistance from his Taipei challenger.
On the other hand, Ching Yao tried his best to put up strong show by accelerating his speed but he failed to take charge of rallies and remained trailing behind his Thai rival.
However, Thongnuam stayed focused on court and perfectly place his shots in targeted areas which helped him to grab the first game with an inspiring total of 21-12.
In the second game, the lofty Thongnuam played with same speed and he did not let his challenger to reduce the deficit at any stage in the opening half.
After the break, Thai player continued putting up strong performance and bagged the second set with a superb 21-11 difference on score board.
Thongnuam showed exit to Ching Yao in straight sets in this qualifying round match with a dictating margin of 21-12 and 21-11.
