  1. Hi.

As far as youth hostels go, I stayed in the one near Hoche métro station about a decade ago and it was OK. A better choice, in terms of being centrally located and providing lots of métro lines for easy access to the entire city, might be Jules Ferry, near the Place de la République. Have a great time!

  2. You'll find that almost every location in the city center, i.e. the 1st-6th arrondissements to be convenient to places to eat and entertainment spots.

I personally don't like hostels because of the customary daytime lock out. Paris is a city that stays up all night and the idea of having to drag out of bed and vacate the room during the day is a horrifying thought if you've been out clubbing until 6 AM.

Ther are a fair number of cheap hotels in the city center. This website: http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/ has a lot of good suggestions. Look for places in the Latin Quarter or the Marais districts.

I personally stay at the Hotel St. Andre des Artes at 66, rue St. Andre des Artes in the 6th arr. http://www.123france.com/en/0/hotel-sain... I've been going there fore more than 30 years now and its always been a pleasant place to stay (although very basic).

  3. The one where there are lots of immigrants.....oh yea.

  4. I'll suggest you hotel Ascot Opera -rue Monsigny no.2. It's a small one, in a very safe area, but very well located, in the center of the city, close to the main beauties and places of interest of Paris.
