His run was only 0.02 slower than the world record set two years ago by Cuba's Dayron Robles.

The start of the action was on Friday was extremely encouraging for the sport of track and field as former world and Olympic 400 meters champion Jeremy Wariner coasted home recording a highly impressive time of 44.49 seconds.
Olympic champion Brimin Kipruto of Kenya helped bring smiles on African supporters as he sat a season's best of 8:00.90 in men's 3000m steeplechase.
His time was a shade better than his nearest rivals including fellow countryman Paul Kipsiele Koech.
There was high entertainment and drama Australia's world pole vault champion Steve Hooker failed to clear his opening height of 5.40 meters.
Yet there was a delight for home fans as local Renaud Lavillenie maintained his fine start to the season where he has remained unbeaten thus far.
Lavillenie, cleared the height in 5.91 on his way to a fourth Diamond League victory.
The women's events were also action packed with the leading names in the sport gunning for a win.
The 5,000 meter event was comfortably won by Kenyan world champion Vivian Cheruiyot.
Cheruiyot was in outstanding form delivering her best at the event shaving nearly three seconds off the year's best time with a time of14:27.41.
Russian Anna Alminova was also in prolific form recording a season's best by more than a second in the women's 1,500 of 3:57.65.
The three-time World Champion Allyson Felix also enjoyed her run in favourable conditions recording a win in 22.14 seconds in the 200 meters event.
The session was rounded off with the high jumping event where Croatian Blanka Vlasic demonstrated her prowess, by registering her fourth Diamond league event this year.
Vlasic toppled her American rival Chaunte Howard-Lowe.
