  1. Traffic is always very bad..........(except in the middle of the night)

You should take a train www.ratp.fr

  2. direct by bus 15 $ =))

  3. Hi,

It's 30km from Gare de Lyon to Charles de Gaulle airport.

According to the ViaMichelin site, it takes 30 minutes... but I can tell you that if you go there during the busy hours, it can be much, much, much longer !

Otherwise, you can use public transportation (RER A then B) : it shouldn't take more that one hour.

  4. Lots of good answers but...  The simplest and fastest way is RER!  I did an itinerary for your trip on www.ratp.fr:

Take RER A from Gare Lyon to Chatelet-Les Halles then take RER B from Chatelet to CDG.  Make sure you know which terminal your flight is as there are 2 terminals very far apart.

Total trip time is about 45 to 50 minutes.

    Direction : Poissy

    de : Gare de Lyon

    à : Chatelet-Les Halles

    21h38

    21h42

    4 mn

    Correspondance à : Chatelet-Les Halles - RER  0 mn 2

Direction : Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV

    de : Chatelet-Les Halles

    à : Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV 21h44

    22h22  38 mn

  5. I recommend the train.

There is a direct train link to Paris-Charles de Gaulle by TGV High Speed Train (from the North, South and West), by Thalys and Mainline trains. The SNCF French Railways station in Terminal 2 ensures fast interconnection times.

Please note: The Paris-Charles de Gaulle railway station is not served by all TGV, Thalys and Mainline trains. Only a limited number of trains actually stop at the station so you may need to change trains.

The SNCF French Railways station at Paris-Charles-de Gaulle is located in Terminal 2:

Niveau 1 : Platforms for TGV, Thalys, Mainline and RER B regional express trains

Niveau 2 : SNCF French Railways station

Niveau 3 : Hotel Sheraton Business Center

    Niveau 4 : Moving walkways for accessing Terminals 2C, 2D, 2E and 2F

Niveau 5 : Departure level for Aéroports de Paris Shuttle busses (to Terminal 1, Terminal 3 and Terminals 2A and 2B),

    Departure level for Taxis

    Departure level for Hotel shuttles

  6. It would be less costly to go by the train and it would take you about 46 minutes.

  7. About 14 miles (23 km). It'll take you about 30 minutes but it will cost you plenty (even a van service costs 93 euros one way).

Many people take the train or RER right from Gare de Lyon to the station in Roissy, near the airport. From there, there are free buses that'll take you to the terminal of your flight. The train ride will cost you only a few euros.

You can also take an Air France bus from the Gare de Lyon right to your terminal at Charles de Gaulle. It'll cost you 17 euros one way. (You do not have to be an air France passenger to ride on their buses. They are open to everyone as they charge a fare)

By the way, most French people, in casual conversations,  refer to CDG Airport as Roissy Airport or simply as Roissy.
