  1. Le Peletier is definitely in the first zone. I never bother buying passes when I am in Paris, I always buy a carnet (book of ten tickets), which will get me to most places (I can go from Bir Hakeim to Montmartre on 1 ticket). If I need to go 'outside the zone' (which would only be Versailles, La Defenses or Chateau Vincennes) I buy an aller retour from the ticket window. Its very easy (you just have to get used to all the stairs!!).

    Enjoy

  2. Paris,  Metro Notre Dame de Lorette ou Le Peletier, near the Basilic of Sacre Coeur. ...

Yes, you can buy passes for one or several days or even a week, which is cheaper,  from the ticket machines or offices inside the metro and you can pay with credit cards !

If you have trouble, ask an attendant, they are very friendly !

    Bonnes vacances !

  3. Here is the metro site in English, with tickets, travel pass and  map. Hope it helps.

Many attendants speak a little English, and they are used to tourists who don't speak a word of French.

  4. Le Peletier is in zone 1.

You can buy the tickets from machines. You can get a 2 zone ticket for one day for 5 and a half euros. That's all you need for travel in Paris and is much better value than the tourist tickets unless you want to travel into the outer zones.
