Paris Or Italy Vacation?

Question

I might be going this summer. But I can't decide Paris Or Italy. Pros & Cons? And just pick which you think is more better of a vacation in the summer.

EXTRA: Its going to be a family vacation of 3 or 4.

Italy. It is nice en warm

I've been to Paris in France and Venice/Florence/Rome in Italy.  Both are fantastic for a family.

If I had to pick, I'd suggest Italy.  The 3 cities above are all very interesting, and very different from one another.  

**Venice has the lovely canals and small streets that almost make it seem too cute to be true.  You have to see it to believe it.  The only down side to Venice in the summer is that the canals may be a bit smelly with sewage.  

**Florence is a gorgeous midsized city.  The Duomo is impressive, Michelangelo's David is a sight not to be missed, and the river is good for strolling.  

**Rome is an enormous city with so many sights you won't be able to see them all.  I'd recommend the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum, Roman Forum, and of course the Vatican.

We did not have a bad meal in Italy.  Everything from the coffee to the pasta to the meat was incredible, at cafes and restaurants alike.

And the people are friendly!
