Parc des Princes, Paris saw cash-laden Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain play host to Olympique Lyonnais in Week 9 of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 action. Ahead of the game, both Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais were level on points at the top of the
league standings along with Toulouse.
However, Alain Casanova’s Toulouse lost 3-0 to FC Sochaux on Saturday, October 1,2011 to give the two French giants a great chance to take advantage. Furthermore, Montpellier drew 2-2 with Bordeaux on Saturday which meant that Olympique Lyonnais and PSG
were left to battle for the top place.
The game between PSG and Lyon was seen as the biggest game of the season so far and many predicted the outcome of the result to have a lot of say on how things will unfold in the final furlong of the campaign.
In the end, it was Paris Saint-Germain who came out on top thanks to goals from Javier Pastore and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christophe-Jallet-c9179. The win consequently took PSG on top of the Ligue 1 standings. Les Parisiens now have 20 points from nine games and lead the league standings
by three points over Montpellier and Lyon who are second and third respectively with 17 points (Montpellier have a better goal difference than Lyon).

Lugano then tested Lloris from distance but the custodian watched the ball go over the crossbar for a goal kick. Half time whistle blew with neither team being able to find the back of the net.
The second half started at a similar pace but PSG started asserting their authority in the game and in the 65th minute, Pastore’s accurate short whizzed past Lloris’ near post to make it 1-0 to the home side. Les Gones tried to get back into the

However, it was not to be for Lyon as Jallet scored his first goal of the season to give PSG a 2-0 lead in the 90th minute.
For PSG, the performances of Siaka Tiene, Matuidi, Nene and Pastore stood out.
Ivorian international Siaka Tiene put in a great defensive shift to make sure that the Lyon strikers were kept at bay. He also did well to link up with Javier Pastore with some incisive passes.
Since his arrival, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Blaise-Matuidi-c7681 has been a valuable member of the starting XI and the young midfielder did well to neutralise Gonalons and Kallstrom in the midfield.
Unlike his previous performances, Nene turned out to be the most important clog of the PSG side. The Brazilian international worked hard throughout the game and apart from linking the attack, he also had his fair share of defensive duties which he performed
admirably well. An assist was the least Nene deserved when Jallet scored the second and final goal of the night in the 90th minute.

The 65th minute saw Pastore fly past Kone before unleashing a powerful shot to beat Lloris at near post to give PSG the lead. The goal gave the youngster fresh impetuous as he created more chances for Gameiro and Nene.
