Paris Saint-Germain announce performance bonuses for players – Ligue 1 news
Cash-laden Paris Saint-Germain have promised 7.5 million Euros (300,000 Euros /player) bonus, if the team is able to win the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 Championelle.
Ambitious new owners of Qatar Sports Investments have noticed the downward performances of the team and have decided to implement a new policy in order to boost the squad’s motivation by giving them financial bonuses.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Sports Investments took over control of Parc des Princes earlier this summer and have been aiming for the Championelle as well as competing on the European stage. With high aims set, QSI made sure that the club had enough manpower in making their aim
realistic and achievable.
QSI spent more than 80 million Euros in the transfer window luring in only the sensational stars of Europe such as Palermo sensation http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153.
Showing their unlimited financial resources, QSI are hoping that the financial bonus will be appealing to the team and will go an extra mile to achieve victory.
According to French sports daily, La Parisien, the management of Les Rouge-et-Bleu had negotiated with the players before endorsing the premium rise of 2.5 million Euros in the players’ bonuses. Involved in the meeting were Captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mamadou-Sakho-c23293, Sylvain
Armand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Bodmer-c24679.
La Parisiens further reported that if PSG come second, an amount of 6.5 million Euros will be distributed (260,000 Euros/player) and 6 million Euros if they take the third position (240,000 Euros/player). Furthermore, every league game win would result in
a bonus of 4000 Euros to each player.
PSG have not been able to win a single game in the Championelle so far. They lost to FC Lorient 0-1 at Pac des Princes and were forced in a draw in the 88th
minute by Stade Rennais at Route de Lorient.
With Coach Antoine Kombouare’s future at risk, Les Parisiens are looking to compose themselves and win their first game in the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 Championnat.
