Paris Saint-Germain have indeed been keeping a close eye on former Real Madrid and Manchester United star David Beckham. The Englishman was hotly linked with a move to Ile but it seems that PSG are now better off without the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 captain
On December 21, 2011, French media announced the arrival of David Beckham to Paris Saint-Germain. The 36-year-old midfielder’s contract at Major League Soccer franchise, LA Galaxy had expired and the cash-laden Parisian side were willing to sign the Englishman
and even offered him a lucrative deal.
However, it now seems that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Beckham is having second thoughts on the highly-anticipated move to Parc des Princes.
L’Equipe suggests that Beckham is considering cooling off his interest and the deal has reached to the point of being almost dead.
The sports daily even cites sources close to the case.
“It is very likely that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Los-Angeles-Galaxy-c39818. No decision has been taken but it is now the trend. David will announce his choice in the coming days,” the source said.
It has also been claimed that Beckham’s refusal to play in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 is primarily for family reasons rather than sporting reasons.
“He always said that the welfare of his family is his priority criterion to choose his future at the end of his contract. And let’s face it, his wife, his children and himself love living in Los Angeles.”
Reports further suggest that newly-appointed PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti, who spoke to the player himself and the rest of the coaching staff would be sceptical of the ability of the former Real Madrid man to play at such a high level once again.
Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether Beckham would be able to adapt to the characteristics of other PSG players, especially http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082. With PSG making the signing of Kaka their top priority this winter, Beckham would certainly struggle to get
a lot of games under his belt if he chooses to sign for PSG.
Along with family reasons, these might be few reasons for Beckham’s hesitance in saying no to the capital club as well.
