In their Sunday’s Ligue 1 fixture against Montpellier Herault, Paris Saint-Germain is looking to bring in Argentine international Javier Pastore at the expense of Kevin Gameiro as Carlo Ancelotti looks to beat Rene Girard’s side
The first thing that Paris Saint-Germain coach, Carlo Ancelotti should have learned about the Ligue 1 side before his appointment should have been the fact that the Ile giants are not renowned for their efficiency infront of goal.
Last campaign, it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153. The Frenchman arrived with a profile of a lethal striker.
Though Gameiro has scored a few goals, he has not been able to be the striker that he was at Lorient.
However, Ancelotti is now keen on changing all that as he wants his side to play to score more goals rather than settling for a 1-0 win.
“He told us that it was not normal to have so many opportunities and not scoring a single goal. If we can win 5-0, it should be done,” said one of the players while talking to Le Parisien.
The discontent of Ancelotti might mean a radical change in the team. On Sunday, Les Parisiens face second place Montpellier Herault. La Paillade chase PSG by just a point and Ancelotti is reportedly keen on asserting his side’s authority over the rest of
the chasing pack by thoroughly beating Montpellier.
The tactician is reportedly considering giving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082 a start in the game. The youngster missed a few games due to injury but has shown rapid recovery.
In order to start Pastore, Ancelotti would be forced to drop a midfielder. However, it seems that the former AC Milan manager would drop Kevin Gameiro and would use either http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jeremy-Menez-c18345 or Nene as the sole striker.
Against Toulouse in January, Ancelotti used Menez, Nene and Pastore as his forefront and the tactic proved successful as PSG won the game 3-1.
This clearly means that the Italian will be looking to use the same tactics against Montpellier meaning that Gameiro and Hoarau would be warming the bench for most part of the game.
