Mamadou Sakho and Blaise Matuidi have expressed their delight at the way Les Bleus played against the reigning World and European champions on Tuesday
The 1998 World Cup winner put in an eye catching performance against La Roja in their World Cup qualifier, managing to nick a draw in the end.
Thanks to a last-minute equaliser from Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud, France managed to get a point in Madrid and kept their unbeaten run in the qualifying campaign intact.

Sakho said that Didier Deschamps’ words worked like a magic and player responded to that and got the result in the end.
"The coach's speech at half-time mobilised us again and [the performance] reflected the state of the team's mind," the defender told reporters after the match.”
Praising his teammates, the centre-back said that no one was expecting France to play like that and supporters should be proud of Les Bleus.
"Nobody was counting on us but we wanted to hit hard, you [the supporters] can be proud of us."

The defensive midfielder said that France are lucky to have such an amazing goalkeeper at their disposal, and he is among the best in the business.

Matuidi added that everyone was expecting http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 to win that game, but Les Bleus showed what they can do on the pitch and what they are capable of.
"Everybody saw us losing in Spain, but we showed that you can rely on us. There are a lot of qualities in this team – solidarity, state of mind and talent."
