Magpies
Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Senegal-c3001 international, Demba Ba, who seems to have a contractual dispute with his current club, Newcastle United. The forward has been regularly chased by several clubs since his arrival at St. James Park, including
English Premier League giants, Chelsea.
The 27-year-old striker had been the top goal-scorer for the club last season, scoring 16 in the 2011/12 campaign. Ba had been a vital member of the squad, as he helped Newcastle United for securing a Europa League berth last season. The striker hasn’t shown
any lacklustre in his performances this season, as the player already scored 13 goals by the end of the first-half of the season.
Ba refused to sign a contract extension with the Magpies, as his wage demands weren’t met. Newcastle are keen on retaining their star player at the club, despite escalating interest from several European clubs, including cash-laden Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s understood that the Paris-based club is willing to move for the Senegalese striker, provided http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guillaume-Hoarau-c15332 or Kevin Gamerio depart from Parc des Princes. Ba could serve as an additional striker at the club, and perhaps can find himself a spot in
the starting line-up.
However, Paris Saint-Germain are not the only club interested in the talented forward. It’s reported that Chelsea have been in talks with the players’ representative for a while now, and are trying to lure the player to the Stamford Bridge in the January
transfer window.
The Blues are believed to sign Ba in an effort to sign an in-form striker, one who has a natural flair for scoring goals. The London-based club turned their efforts to sign the Senegalese star when their long-time transfer target, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 insisted
that he’s not looking forward to a transfer in January. The Columbian has stated that he wants to end the season with his current club, Atletico Madrid.
Ba is a January transfer target for several clubs, and it’s believed that Newcastle would do their best hold on to their prized-asset. However, if a new contract is not signed soon enough, the club may have to part ways with the player.
