After failing to attract http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 looks to find a replacement for the departing Siaka
Tiene
With the African Cup of Nations on the horizon, Paris Saint-Germain will see the departure of left-back Siaka Tiene. The Ivorian will be representing Les Elephants in the event held by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Equatorial-Guinea-c2892.
The departure of the 29-year-old will leave PSG without an experienced left-back in the squad. Les Parisiens in a bid to replace the left-back had their eyes on Italy international Federico Balzaretti. The left-back was rumoured to be on the verge of signing
for the Ile club. however, things quickly changed last night when sporting director Leonardo said that the player will stay with Italian Serie A side Palermo.
However, the Paris-based club is now keeping tabs on another left-back. The search has led to Algerian international Nadir Belhadj. The 29-year-old is currently under contract at Qatari giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Al-Sadd-c38355 who he joined from Portsmouth in the summer of 2010.
The experienced left-back is also keen on making a return to European football and PSG certainly appreciated Belhadj’s CV as the Fennec has spent most part of his career playing in the French Ligue 1.
Under contract at Al-Sadd until June 2013, PSG will be looking to enter into negotiation with the Algerian’s club as soon as possible. This transfer (if it actually materialises), would certainly be a good one for PSG given the condition and the future role
of the Algerian international. The native of Saint-Claude is a good attack-minded left-back and would certainly be a live wire down the left-flank.
Though Belhadj’s defensive abilities can be questionable at times, Leonardo might take his chances on the Algerian as he might not have a better option in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Antoine Kombouare favours a 4-2-3-1 formation. However, the Kanak coach might have to change tactics as Belhadj is more comfortable in a 3-5-2 formation as it gives him more freedom to surge forwards and not worry about his defensive duties for a while.
