Paris Saint-Germain keeping tabs on Juventus player http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Felipe-Melo-c13535 – Ligue 1 news
In the search of finding a replacement for Claude Makelele, Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on a lot of defensive midfielders.
AS Saint-Etienne midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 director Leonardo is looking for a more suitable
replacement for the now-retired Makelele.
Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan manager is considering making a move for Italian Serie A side Juventus midfielder Fellipe Melo.
According to Italian daily La Stampa, the Brazilian international is keen on a move away from the Turin giants and is attracted by the PSG project under the direction of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056.
Melo joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2009 from Fiorentina for 4.5 million Euros. Juventus are also reportedly willing to listen to offers for the former Gremio man as the club looks to raise funds for making a few signings in the current summer transfer
window.
The recent news of the club trying to bring Felipe Melo to the Parc des Princes does not come as a surprise as the new sporting director Leonardo has been targeting Brazilian players since his arrival at the club.
Already, the club is linked with moves for Brazilian youngster Ganso and Benfica http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314 Luisao who is believed to be on the verge of sealing a move to the Parisian club in the coming days.
However, Felipe Melo might not be the right choice in the defensive midfield for Les Parisiens. Over the course of his career, the Brazilian has been criticised for his inconsistent performances for both club and country.
During his time at Fiorentina, Melo was one of the best defensive midfielders in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. However, it all changed when he joined Juventus in 2009. His inconsistent performances turned in to mediocre ones for Juventus last season and apart from a few great
outings, the Brazilian never really impressed the fans.
A move for Blaise Matuidi of Saint-Etienne should be given more attention by Leonardo as the 24-year-old Frenchman has been a modicum of consistency for the past two seasons for Les Verts and has a lot of experience of playing in the Ligue 1.
