After failing to sign Thiago Silva from AC Milan, the Ligue 1 giants have refocused their attentions towards signing the Manchester City centre-back this summer
Paris Saint-Germain do not shy away from the idea of signing a renowned centre-back. For the last few weeks, Les Parisiens were linked with a move for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903. The 27-year-old is currently under contract at Italian Serie A side
AC Milan.
Initially, PSG were able to meet Milan’s valuation for the player. And, it seemed that the defender was on the verge of completing a move to Parc des Princes. However, Milan president Silvio Berlusconi intervened yet again and now, Silva is likely to continue
his adventure in Lombardi.
Frustrated at not being able to sign the highly-rated defender, PSG have now decided to revive their interest in Cote d’Ivoire international Kolo Toure. British media, Setanta Sports claims that the Parisians are keen on signing the Manchester City star
whose place in the starting XI is no more a given.
The former Arsenal man has been at the Eastlands for almost three years now. Last season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kolo-c21278 Toure did not play much part in the Citizens’ Premier League triumph as he was suspended after failing a drugs test. Since then, the 31-year-old has not been able
to make a comeback to the starting XI as his path is blocked by the presence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184 and Lescott.
And, PSG are willing to take advantage of this situation by offering City 6 million Euros for the player. the former Gunner may also be willing to make a move to Parc des Princes.
Furthermore, the player’s salary should not be a major headache for the cash-laden Ligue 1 side. Toure reportedly earns 111,000 Euros per week and PSG won’t have any trouble in meeting his wage demands.
And, Toure is also not against the idea of joining PSG who he feels are going in the right direction.
“Today, PSG is a great club like City, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 or Milan, who wants to become one of the best in the world and wants to invest in great players. I do not know a player who will refuse PSG,” said Toure.
