The cash-laden Ligue 1 outfit have fallen for the charms of the Pescara midfielder who has been dubbed as the new Andrea Pirlo
Paris Saint-Germain coach, Carlo Ancelotti has many times stressed that the club’s main aim is to invest in young players in order to build a reliable team that can perform well for the next four or five years.
In this regards, the club has been on the lookout for talented youngsters all over the world. The capital club spotted 19-year-old Marco Verratti during the 2011/2012 campaign. The young Italian is currently under contract at Italian Serie B side Pescara
where he was an author of an excellent campaign.
Many experts have dubbed Verratti as the new Andrea Pirlo which goes on to show how highly-rated the player is.
While talking to L’Equipe, PSG sporting director, Leonardo called Verratti as a “great young talent.” Proof of the youngster’s quality was that Italian national side manager, Cesare Prandelli named the youngster in his provisional list for the Euros.
Though the player did not make the final list, it appears that a day will come when he will be part of the Azzurri Trequartista.
