Paris Saint-Germain keeping tabs on Nicolas Anelka – Ligue 1 new
Paris Saint-Germain are reported to be keeping tabs on Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka and might approach him in the winter transfer window once his contract expires in June next summer.
The sporting director at Parc des Princes, Leonardo, has been on the lookout for a second striker and contacted numerous players in the summer transfer window. Players like Dimitri Berbatov, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Amauri-c5381 and Kaka were approached but the Brazilian failed to attract
the players to the capital club.
According to Chelsea coach Andre Villas-Boas, the former PSG striker has opted to leave the English Premier League side at the end of the season. “I’m not sure he will be willing to continue here. He has given me an indication he might go.”
Following the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Sports Investment at Parc des Princes, Les Parisiens are regularly associated with some of the best players in world football. Last week, the Brazilian sporting director hinted at approaching David Beckham once his contract
with LA Galaxy expires at the end of this season.
Although Beckham will carefully weigh his options before considering PSG, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 striker, an attractive offer
can be expected in the winter transfer window to book the services of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international ahead of the termination of his contact.
Meanwhile, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 coach Didier Deschamps seemed against the idea of David Beckham joining the capital club. In a press conference, the French tactician was quoted as saying, “He’s old and is near his retirement, but Beckham is Beckham I’ll
always respect him... I do not know why http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 is interested in him.”
Paris Saint-Germain spent more than 80 million Euros in the summer transfer window, second biggest spenders in Europe after Manchester city. However, if http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 and Nicolas Anelka join PSG next season or go elsewhere, Les Parisiens are expected to
enter in yet another big adventure in the winter transfer window.
Anelka had two stints at the capital club and both stints turned out to be failures as the striker failed to live up to his true potential. Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy are also reportedly interested in signing ‘Le Sulk’, which means that Leonardo
might have a better chance in recruiting David Beckham who is pondering a return to European football.
