Paris Saint-Germain keeping tabs on Roberto Soldado of Valencia – Ligue 1 news
Reports in French media suggest that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on Spanish striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Soldado-c31367.
The striker is currently under contract at la Liga side Valencia where he has become an integral part of the starting XI.
Former PSG midfielder Claude Makelele was sent by Leonardo to Spain in order to oversee the performances of Roberto Soldado and Martin Caceres who is playing for Seville. Claude Makelele has been touted as a possible replacement for under-fire coach Antoine
Kombouare and the Frenchman was sent out on a scouting http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056.
L’Equipe claims that Makelele went to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 in order to give his own reviews on Caceres and Soldado. Martin Caceres has been linked with a move to Parc des Princes in recent weeks. However, with PSG still looking out for a striker, all eyes are on Roberto
Soldado who is in blistering form for Los Che. The 26-year-old striker has already scored eight goals in the La Liga for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 and a further five in the Champions League for the Spanish side.
The former Real Madrid striker would certainly be in the short-list of targets identified by PSG for the upcoming winter transfer window. The likes of Tottenham Hotspur and German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on the prolific striker
who has just made two appearances for the Spanish national team since his debut in 2007.
Though Soldado has always been a prolific striker in La Liga, the Valencia-born player is regularly forgotten in the national team. Under contract at La Mestalla until 2014, the Spaniard’s release clause is also confidential but rumours suggest that Les
Parisiens have to dig deep in order to sign the striker from Valencia.
Soldado started his career with Real Madrid B and after playing for the capital club’s senior side from 2005 to 2008, he signed for Getafe. After two decent seasons with El Geta, Soldado signed for Valenia for a fee believed to be in the region of 10 million
Euros in 2010.
During his time at Valencia, Soldado has become one of the most lethal strikers in Spanish football and has scored 26 goals in 46 La Liga games.
