Reports in French media claim that Paris Saint-Germain are keen on signing Kiko Casilla of Espanyol in a bid to find a suitable replacement for Nicolas Douchez who is set to leave Parc des Princes this summer

Nicolas Douchez signed for PSG last summer. However, upon his arrival, sporting director, Leonardo swiftly moved in to sign Salvatore Sirigu from Italian Serie A side, Palermo. The arrival of the Italian shot-stopper meant Douchez was never going to command
a first-team place.
Frustrated at being looked over, the former Stade Rennais man is keen on leaving Ile this summer. Leonardo is also not looking to keep the unhappy player and has already begun his search for a new number 2.
The Brazilian’s search has led him to the municipality of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 where a 25-year-old goalkeeper has been sighted as a possible replacement for Douchez.
Francisco “Kiko” Casilla is currently under contract at La Liga side Espanyol. However, the former Real Madrid academy player is not an integral part of the side. The Spaniard was farmed out to Segunda Division side FC Cartagena for the 2010/2011 campaign.
In 35 games for Cartagena, Casilla impressed a lot but his status at Espanyol is still under a cloud of uncertainty.
Out of contract in June, Casilla has never been able to establish himself at Espanyol and might consider trying his luck in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
However, in all likelihood, the Spaniard will have to keep the bench warm for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Douchez-c27810 learned the hard way.
However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 is impressed with what he has seen so far from Casilla and feels that the Spaniard can be a good partner for Sirigu.
Since joining Espanyol, Casilla has made just 13 appearances for the Catalan side and never really impressed in those games. However, the Alcover-born player ultimately found his feet at Cartagena which means that he could be a good deputy for Sirigu.
