Paris Saint-Germain looking to make swoop for Inter Milan star Samuel Eto’o – Ligue 1 news
Ambitious Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain are continuing to make all the headlines in this summer’s transfer window. Since the takeover of the club’s affairs by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority, Les Parisiens have been the most active club in this summer’s transfer
window.
Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cameroon-c2865 international Samuel Eto’o to the Parc des Princes with him. In the recent past Les Parisiens direction would never have thought
of making an offer for Samuel Eto’o. However, things have now changed at the capital club and following the imminent arrival of Leonardo as the club’s Sporting Director, PSG are now able to flex their muscles in the transfer window.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Maicon-c23157 are all going to stay at the San Siro. However Samuel Eto’o might not be with the Serie A giants. Reports suggest that the 30-year-old striker
is willing to move on to a new challenge. A few weeks ago, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 man openly admitted his desire of playing in the English Premier League.
Speculations suggest that Leonardo might set up a meeting with Samuel Eto’o regarding a move to PSG and also to explain the long-term project at the French club. However, landing a player of Eto’o’s calibre might be a bit too difficult for the Parisian club
as the Cameroonian wants to play in the UEFA Champions League – something that PSG can’t offer him for next season at least.
Samuel Eto’o joined Inter Milan from La Liga giants Barcelona in the summer of 2009 and has scored 33 goals in 67 appearances for the Nerazzurri. During his time at Barcelona (2004-2009), Eto’o scored 108 goals in 145 appearances and won the Champions League
(twice) and the La Liga (three times). The Cameroon international is a proven goalscorer and is considered to be one of the greatest players ever to be produced by Africa. A move to PSG though seems unlikely, if it does materialise it could play a huge role
in the club’s dream of attracting top name players to the Parc des Princes.
