Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed reports claiming that the capital club is set to make an ambitious move to bring the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international to Parc des Princess
Ancelotti is in dire need of a proven central defender ahead of their long-awaited return to the Champions League and reports claimed that the cash-laden Ligue 1 outfit has identified the Chelsea skipper as the man who can add much needed experience to the
side.
Les Parisiens were in the market for highly-rated AC Milan player http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 last season and it was speculated that Carlo Ancelotti, who has previously managed Chelsea, wants to sign the former
England captain.
However, Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished such reports and has insisted that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 is not on his shortlist of central defenders despite him being one of the best central defenders in the world at the moment.
The witty tactician admitted that his side could do well with a new defender but said that he is no rush to make any such signing.
"We are looking for a central defender. The club is in contact with some players, but not John Terry," Ancelotti told reporters.
Capped 77 times by the Three Lions, Terry has been an integral part of Chelsea over the years. The Englishman has helped the club win three Premier League titles and five FA Cups. The 31-year-old also won UEFA Champions League with The Blues in 2012 but
was suspended for the final match in which his team-mates beat Bayern Munich on penalties.
John Terry has made 537 appearances for Chelsea scoring 49 goals in the process.
On a question of PSG’s preparations for next season, Ancelotti said that he and players were gutted to lose out on the Championelle last season after failing to pip Montpellier to the title.
Paris Saint-Germain ended runners up last season in Ligue 1 and that is something that bothers Ancelotti every day.
The former Chelsea manager said that club’s priority is to win titles next season, both at domestic level and the European level.
"Last year, we ranked second. This year, we clearly want to be champions. There's also the Champions League, which will be as important as Ligue 1. But I think it will be easier to win the league."
Paris Saint-Germain will kick-start their Ligue 1 campaign next season on August 11, when they entertain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153 at Parc des Princess.
