Paris Saint-Germain reignite interest in Arsenal's http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Chamakh-c24294 – Ligue 1 news
Reports in French media suggest that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have reignited their interest in Moroccan international, Marouane Chamakh who is currently on the books of English Premier League side Arsenal FC.
The striker joined the Gunners from FC Girondins de Bordeaux last summer and after a great start to the first half of the 2010/2011 campaign, the 27-year-old lost his place to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 who had returned from an injury.
Since then, the striker has found it hard to command a regular starting spot under Arsene Wenger’s side and could be on his way out of the emirates in the January transfer window. Bordeaux are also interested in bringing back their star striker to the Stade
Chaban Delmas.
Champions LOSC Lille are also keen on recruiting the talented striker. However, it seems that Paris Saint-Germain are already readying an offer for the former Bordeaux man who is clearly unsatisfied with his current situation at Arsenal.
PSG were linked with a move for the striker in the summer transfer window but never put in a concrete offer for the Tonneins-born player. Les Parisiens have currently http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guillaume-Hoarau-c15332 as the designated strikers.
However, Hoarau’s injury and Erdinc’s lack of form means that Antoine Kombouare and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international
due to his physical presence and strong aerial ability.
Moreover, Chamakh’s experience of playing in the Ligue 1 for over seven years means that the Moroccan will not find it hard to cope with the league where he made his name. During his time at Bordeaux, Chamakh scored 56 goals in 230 games and his tally could
become better if he plays with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jeremy-Menez-c18345 and Kevin Gameiro upfront.
Since joining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Chamakh’s career has hit a new low. A move away from the London-based club could offer him a great chance of redemption.
