The cash-laden Ligue 1 outfit has turned its focus to Everton full-back, Leighton Baines, after being snubbed by English international, Ashley Cole.
Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race to sign Everton and England defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leighton-Baines-c21987. The Paris-based club is currently seeking to sign a full-back in the January transfer window, in an effort to bolster their defence for the second-half of the
season. However, it would not be an easy task for Les Parisiens, as they would have to battle English Premier League duo, Manchester United and Chelsea for the highly-rated defender.
Following the unsuccessful negotiations with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Cole-c6809, the French outfit is set to look for other defensive options. The club has set its sight upon the 28-year-old left-back, who is linked with several other European clubs. The defender’s good form has
also managed to attract interest from English Premier League giants, Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Englishman is currently valued at £15 million by the Toffees and still has two and a half years left on his contract. Everton’s manager, David Moyes has faith in the player’s capabilities and that is one of the reasons why the defensive stalwart has
featured in every game for his club this season.
The Paris-based club is willing to pay the demanded fee for securing the services of the Everton left-back. However, it would prove to be difficult for Les Parisiens to convince Baines to move abroad, as the player has spent his entire career playing in

Manchester United’s manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, has been a long time admirer of the defender. The player has been short-listed by the Scotman, as he intends to lure the former Wigan Athletic player to the Old Trafford. However, the manager is unwilling to
pay the hefty transfer fee demanded by the Merseyside club.
On the other hand, Chelsea appear to have the required capital to bring the player to Stamford Bridge. With the backing of Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich, the London-based club can meet the price tag for the talented defender.
There haven’t been any concrete offers from any of the interested clubs so far, and only time will decide where does the England star’s future lay.
