Paris Saint-Germain striker Mevlut Erdinç still under the radar of French clubs – Ligue 1 news
Turkish international Mevlut Erdinç, currently on the books of French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain has reiterated his desire to stay with the Parisian club amidst rumours that he will be offloaded by the end of this summer’s transfer window.
Since the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority as the new owners of the club, many players have been linked with moves away from Parc des Princes and Erdinç is one of those players who might be shown the door.
However, Erdinç is not too keen on making a move away from the club whom he signed for in the summer of 2009 from Sochaux Montbéliard for a fee believed to be in the region of nine million Euros. While talking to the media a few days ago, Erdinç said that
he does not fear competition and is ready to fight for his place in the team as he believes that competition for places is common in every club.
However, it seems that most of the French Ligue 1 clubs are not giving up in their pursuit of the talented striker. Reigning Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille, FC Girondins de Bordeaux and Stade Rennais are still keen on signing the Turk.
Initially, English Premier League side Newcastle United were interested in signing the youngster but Erdinç chose to stay at the club. however, the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082 from Palermo would surely consign Erdinç to a
peripheral role in the PSG side this season.
With Lille, Rennais and Bordeaux all looking to strengthening their squad’s attacking side, Erdinç might be forced to leave the Parisian club where he will never become a regular starter as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 is keen on bringing another striker who could pair up with
Gameiro.
With three of the best clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 all chasing the youngster, Erdinç should act wisely and go for a move away from Parc des Princes in order to keep developing as a player.
Though Erdinç is reluctant to leave PSG, the final few weeks of the Mercato could see the Turkish striker playing for a new Ligue 1 club this season.
