With Paris Saint-Germain set to make a flurry of moves in the upcoming winter transfer window, Turkish international Mevlut Erdinc could be sold to English Premier League side Sunderland FC who are in massive need of a striker.
Not really getting a lot of playing time with Paris Saint-Germain, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026 international Mevlut Erdinç might be tempted by the charms of English Premier League side Sunderland FC where his former PSG teammate Stephane Sessegnon is playing.
The Turk’s last goal for Les Parisiens came in his team’s 3-2 loss at the hands of Dijon FC in the Coupe de la Ligue quarterfinal. Since then, Erdinç has not scored a single goal and is no more guaranteed a lot of playing time.
Moreover, the return of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guillaume-Hoarau-c15332 makes things complicated for Erdinç. Hoarau scored a goal upon his return to first-team action and might be preferred over Erdinç in the coming weeks. Furthermore, with PSG looking to recruit a new striker in the
upcoming winter transfer window, a move away from the Parc des Princes seems likely.
Sunderland on the other hand, are in dire need of a new striker and are keeping tabs on Erdinç’s situation at the club. Reports suggest that the Black Cats might consider making a move for the 24-year-old in a bid to reunite him with former PSG teammate
Stephane Sessegnon who is an integral part of the side now.
English newspaper, The Daily Mirror claims that Sunderland are considering making a bid for the striker. A fee in the region of 7.2 million Euros is believed to be enough to land the former Sochaux striker.
The relationship between Sunderland and PSG is also healthy after the two sides amicably conducted Sessegnon’s transfer to the English side last season. However, Sunderland might still face stiff competition in order to sign the striker.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are keen on signing the striker. La Liga side Espanyol, Bundesliga side HSV Hamburg and Ligue 1 side Girondins de Bordeaux are also keen on signing the Turk which means that Sunderland might speed up negotiations
with PSG in order to land a striker who in the summer transfer window refused a move to Newcastle United.
