Reports in French media claim that Ligue 1 big-spenders, Paris Saint-Germain have not given up their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Seydou-Keita-c33177 and will launch a bid for the Malian international in the summer transfer window
As thin as air is the amount of time http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mali-c2951 international Seydou Keita is getting these days at La Liga giants Barcelona. From 2008 till 2010, the midfielder was an integral part of the Blaugrana starting lineup. However, things have changed drastically over the last few years.
The Malian has now simply become a luxury Pep Guardiola doesn’t really have time for anymore. The former Lorient man is desperate to get some game-time, something he might never get at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
The likes of AC Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are already keeping their eyes on Keita’s situation and could launch a bid for him in the summer transfer window.
Keita has also hinted at a likely departure this summer. “You know football. I played in Lorient, Lens, Seville and Barcelona. Nobody knows how things can change and what will happen tomorrow. I do not know,” said the player while talking to Cadena Ser.
Reports claim that the Malian is eager to make a return to Ligue 1 football where he made a name for himself before establishing himself in Spanish La Liga. A possible return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 has been talked about but it seems that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain might be able to fend off interest from other clubs.
PSG have already been keeping tabs on the former Seville man and are keen on bringing the player to Parc des Princes next summer.
Carlo Ancelotti wants to strengthen the midfield even further and might consider reuniting Keita with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and Barcelona respectively.
Currently, the likes of Motta, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Bodmer-c24679 are in Keita’s preferred position with the latter showing signs of considerable improvement under Ancelotti.
However, at PSG, Keita would get ample opportunities to impress and could be tempted by a move to Ile especially if the Parisians are able to meet the financial requirements for the player.
When he signed for Barcelona in 2008, his release clause was set at 90 million Euros. However, the Spaniards would surely not be asking for such a transfer fee for a player who is in the final years of his playing career.
