From 2008 till 2010, the midfielder was an integral part of the Blaugrana starting lineup. However, things have changed drastically over the last few years.

Reports claim that the Malian is eager to make a return to Ligue 1 football where he made a name for himself before establishing himself in Spanish La Liga.
