The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 Investment Authority has declared that the French giants would be training in Qatar and will also feature in a friendly game against Lekhwiya Football Club, around new-year time.

Paris Saint-Germain are expected to fly out to Doha on 28th December, 2012, and would remain in Qatar for an expected duration of one week. Les Parisiens are also expected to play an exhibition game against Qatari club, Lekhwiya Football Club,
on 2nd January, 2013.
A press release was issued by PSG’s official website, in which they provided details regarding the Paris-based club’s tour of Qatar. The tour is a part of the marketing program by owners, the Qatari Investment Authority, who seek to promote football in their
country using PSG’s popular global image.
The French giants are expected to arrive at Doha on 28th December, for a midseason training camp. The camp is aimed at preparing les Parisiens for an improved start of the second-half of the season. The team requires much needed stability and
consistency in the league, where they’ve failed to produce positive results. This midseason training might just help the team to rejuvenate their form.
The training would be conducted at the state of the art Aspire complex in Doha. Also known as Doha Sports City, the complex is established on 250 hectares, having all the necessary facilities available. The Aspire Zone also played a pivotal role in Qatar’s
bid for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
PSG would also be playing a friendly game against reigning Qatari champions club, Lekhwiya Football Club, on 2nd January, 2013. The Qatari club possesses stars like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mourad-Meghni-c26920, but a glimpse of les Parisiens would be a
treat for the fans.
The news is welcomed by all football fans in Qatar, who would get an opportunity to watch world-class players training and playing in front of them. The tour is also deemed as a PR stunt by some, one that would enhance Paris Saint-Germains’ popularity throughout
Middle East.
The Paris-based club made a visit to Qatar last year, and this would be their second tour since the Qatari Investment Authority took over the club.
