Following a string of poor performances by Pastore, the club manager, Carlo Ancelotti, publicly voiced his disappointment regarding the midfielder. The Italian stated that the Argentine international had been performing poorly this season and has not been
up to the expectation. While talking to the press the manager said:

Meanwhile, PSG have found a replacement for the young playmaker, in the form of Marek Hamsik. The Slovakian has been impressive during his tenure at the Stadio San Paolo, where he has built himself a reputation of a player who can create chances and score
goals. The midfielder has been the centre of attention in Serie A for a couple of seasons, and is considered among the most talented players of the league.
