PSG sporting director Leonardo has reiterated that the Paris club will not pay crazy money for any player
It’s no secret that the French club has abundance of cash and funds to sign almost any player of the world. However, the club has issued a statement saying that they will not pay more than what a player is really worth.
Oil-money-fuelled PSG have been linked with several top players in recent time and speculations regarding new arrivals at the club are only increasing.
Ricardo Kaka, Pato, Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Carlos Tevez and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380, all have been linked with a move to Parc de Princes in past few weeks.
However, on a question regarding Kaka, Leonardo revealed that the Real Madrid midfielder is not on the club’s wish-list anymore.
As far as Tevez and Silva are concerned, Les Parisiens have made significant progress in their pursuit of the players.
PSG came very close in signing Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez in January but failed to do so as The Citizens decided to hold onto the Argentinean. Paris Saint-Germain are expected to make another approach for the former Manchester United man but stated that
they will not pay crazy money for the player.
Paris Saint-Germain almost signed Thiago Silva from AC Milan and it was reported that the Italian giants have accepted a 46 million Euros bid for the Brazilian. However the deal collapsed in the end and Silva remained at San Siro.
Leonardo revealed that Les Parisiens will make another approach for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 international in next few days but once again reiterated that the club will not pay more than what they had offered before for the player.
"As everyone says we have a lot of money, but often the negotiations are very difficult," he added. "There is no question of paying too much. We have a limit, both for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 and for Tevez.”
"Like all coaches, [Carlo Ancelotti] would like to have his squad as soon as possible. But I am in no hurry. And above all else, I do not want to send the signal to other clubs that I have to hurry."
Paris Saint-Germain will kick-start their 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign on August 11 when they entertain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153 at Parc des Princes.
