Paris Travel advice please.?

I will be arriving Paris CDG airport 07.35 on a Friday morning. I want to travel to Lamballe in Brittany where I have recently moved.

I see the TGV goes through Lamballe but there are very few trains from CDG but several from Gare Montparnasse.

Is it better to get the Air france Bus from CDG to Montparnasse or try to go on the RER?. I have looked at the Metro map but cant decide which would be quicker. Merci in advance.

  1. For sure, If you're in a hurry............u better take the RER and get a connection in chatelet les halles !!!

    It'll be cheaper also, i'm sure !!

But taking the bus.........it's more fun because you'll see a bit of Paris. The seats are better. You won't have to carry your luggages all threw the undergrounds !!!!

    Well, it's up to u........

  2. I suggest you use the RER and then the metro.

    Two reasons.

A bus is subject to traffic conditions whereas a train will head straight through.

Furthermore, after a flight you are likely to want to stretch out a little, and that will be far easier in a train.

    Bon Voyage.

  3. take the RER cos traffic here that time in morning is a bloody nightmare....

  4. Take the B train RER towards Paris (it only goes one direction CDG Airport is the last stop.) and get off at Denfert/Rocherau station, then take the metro #6 in direction of Charles de Gaulle Etiole to the Pasteur Station.  From there you can walk to Gare Montparnasse.  You can find the map at http://www.paris.org/Metro/gifs/metro.pd...

    Bonne Chance!  J'aime France aussi.

  5. Take RER and metro

    Bus will take forever :)

  6. RER line B is better, quicker and more convenient for you. It will take you directly to the required train station. Good luck.
