  1. Hi, no market in the streets on munday ! Sorry, For me, the best : Market Saxe-Breteuil, this well known market is open from 8am to 1.30 pm every Thursday and Saturday morning. Among the many markets in Paris, this has the reputation of being one of the best and certainly the most beautiful. Take the metro to Ecole Militaire or La Motte Piquet. The Ecole Militaire is the beautiful building at the opposite end of the Champ de Mars from the Eiffel Tower. Stop at a stand to talk to a woman from Toulouse, every week she sells her confit de canard and other specialties from the region SW.There are several excellent fishmongers who come from Normandy and Brittany in the morning;

    There are 5 cheese merchants at the market and I buy from several of them, since some specialize in goat's cheeses, roquefort's and hard cheeses.

    For dessert: one of the most well-known stands is of a farmer who specializes in apples, She carries at least 7 kinds and will advise you on the best ones. I  bought her favorite apples for tarte tatin and some sweet apples. She also sells apple cider.

    For hors d'hoeuvres, I visited the merchant who claims to sell black and green olives which are prepared in 40 different ways, with special oils, stuffings and accompaniments,  his tapenade vert and noir. You can also buy grilled peppers and aubergines, 10 different kinds of salads and more. Yersterday, I found white and violet asparagus which is the most popular French variety,and  french strawberries, the best market in Paris, not the cheaper but great quality.

  2. I really like the market on rue Montorgueil on the right bank.  There's also a good one on rue Mouffetard in the Latin Quarter.

    Pain du chocolat is a must-try for breakfast.  Other than that, in all my trips to Paris I've only had a couple of meals I didn't like.  And, I suspect I didn't like them because of my tastes, not because they weren't good.  (world's pickiest eater)

    Have fun!

  3. other ppl gave you some good answers. i dont know what you're lookin for cause i dont know what is camden market like.

    montorgueil, mouffetard are well known but (i think) too bobo ("bourgeois bohemian")... if you wanna try a really popular one (i mean with no healthy ppl), go to the Aligre market, near Bastille or Ledru-Rollin station. it's one of the biggest of paris, but allways full of ppl, with an indoor market and an outdoor one. after you go, you can drink some wine in the Baron Rouge bar or anthg else...
