  1. Hello,

Courtemer is about 180 km west of Paris. You can reach it by car in less than three hours with a good map

If you leave Paris after the morning rush hour (after 10 am) and before 5 pm, otherwise you risk to lose some hours in traffic jams....

You can find maps and driving directions in english here :

    http://www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/i...

    Courtemer postcode is 61390

    For Airports :

CDG to Paris (downtown) about 30-45 min by train (RER), about 45-60 min by buses (depending of traffic jams)

Orly to Paris : Hard to say... (no direct train) so buses or taxis...   about 45-60 min (depending of traffic jams).

In june the eiffel tower is open from 9:30 am to 10:30 pm (last lift for the top). But even if you arrive late, you can stay on the ground and see it sparkling each hour... The best view is from the Trocadero according to me...

The musée du Louvre is open everyday EXCEPT tuesdays from 9am to 6pm... Better check the internet site before visiting it... sometimes some rooms are closed due to expositions or private events...

  2. You must be going for the marketing conference.  The Chateau is about an hour and a half outside of Paris.  Easiest way is to take a train from Gare Montparnasse to L'Aigle and then usually for conferences there will be a bus waiting to pick you up from the train and take you the last 30 minutes to the Chateau.  If you dont take the same train as everyone else you will need to coordinate that with the conference director.

The Eiffel Tower is actually only two kilometers from the train station, in fact there is quite a wonderful view of it if you stand on the street in front of the station.  Depending on what time you arrive the morning of the 3rd, you sould have time to go see it.  The only problem being, your luggage.  You could easily take a taxi or walk there with a couple of bags but they wont let you take your bags onto the Eiffel Tower.

The Louvre is a short cab ride along the Seine from the Eiffel Tower, walkable if you had more time.  You wont have time to see the inside of the Louvre but you would be able to see the outside.  And again, they wont let you take your luggage inside.

My suggestion, if you can find a place to store your bags, go to the Eiffel Tower and go up to the top.  The view is spectacular and it will easily fit into the time frame you have (assuming you are arriving to CDG early morning and you are catching a train early afternoon.

BTW... CDG is approx 30 mins to one hour away from the Eiffel Tower depending on traffic, cab fare will be approx 50 euro.

  3. Paris is in the region called Ile de France.  Normandie is a region that borders ile de France.  It depends where you want to go in Normandie.  Are you talking about Rouen?  That is an hour or so by train.  Caen?  Maybe an hour more.  Somewhere on the Coast?  Then figure more time.  It is like if someone told us they were flying in to Boston but had a meeting in CT.  We can't give this person an exact time table because they have not told us where in CT the meeting is.

If you arrive in the AM in Paris you will have time to see the Eiffel tower in the afternoon.  But I would not attempt the Louvre in that short amount of time.  You could either go to Normandie that night or the morning of the 4th.  Check the train schedules.

You did not tell us when your meeting is over.  If you are going to attempt the louvre you need one full day.  So if you will get back to paris by the morning of the 6th you will have time to see the louvre since you said you are flying out on the 7th.
