Paris for lunch? How can I get there from London?

Ok, so I want to take my husband to paris for lunch for his birthday. there's a lovely restuarant specialising in mussels etc BUT from london, I could book with British airways, Air France / City Jet - they all seem to be xpensive!!! Eurostar come up at about £169 for both going in the morning back at night. However, I was kind of hoping for a budget airline like ryanair except they don't fly to paris from london.

Any ideas, any other airlines or means to get there without breaking the bank seeing as it's a last minute thing.

  1. EasyJet flies between London/Luton and Paris/CDG.

You don't give the day you want to travel, but there are some great fares in July - particularly if you can be flexible regarding the date(s)..

  2. You could still take Ryanair. As you accurately pointed out, it doesn't go to "Paris", but then neither of Paris' two major international airports (Charles de Gaulle and Orly) are located within Paris city limits anyway. Ryanair takes you to Beauvais airport, which is roughly an hour and a half north of Paris by bus if I remember correctly. Granted, that's maybe about twice as far as CDG, but do those extra 45 minutes or so really make much of a difference? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Beauv...

  3. Eurostar is the way to go as it brings you directly from the centre of London to the centre of Paris.

Cut price or other airlines might save some money, but you will still need to get from the airport to the centre of Paris and that costs money and time.

And don't forget to book the restaurant, you don't what to be disappointed there.

  4. Train?

  5. Ohw, herro. I give you ride on rickshaw. Wang very fast.

  6. The Chanel tunnel only takes about an hour its a great way of travelling to France, my family and i went up there on the chanell and we had the whole day of shopping!

Or by train. might take a whole day to travel by train though?
