  1. I would go with the tickets, I found it cheaper. It cost 11 euros for 10 tickets. I don't know if they have an expiry. Lots of the attractions are near each other so I walked alot when I went, and used tickets when I really needed to. You buy it at any stations. I bought through what looked like a atm machine. You can pay cash or credit. All I did was select how many I wanted, inserted the cash and I got my tickets.

  2. The tickets that are included in the "carnet" of 10 tickets are just regular metro tickets and have no expiration date until used. A carnet costs 11.40 euros.

There are a variety of passes. The one day pass is called a "Mobilis" and the weekly pass is called a "Carte orange."

A Mobilis costs 5.80 euros and a Carte Orange costs 16.80 eruos.

All prices given are for zone 1 & 2 tickets.

  3. You can buy a book of tickets at any ticket counter for the Metro.  You can also purchase a one month card, but they are too expensive unless you plan to be in Paris for a month or more and use the metro extensively.  Better to just buy a book of tickets.
