While you specifiy train, the cheapest way to make this trip is by bus. Eurolines buses take only slightly more time than trains on this route and are significantly cheaper.

Cheapest way, is probably by bus.  What you gain in price, you lose in speed, though.  Check out www.eurolines.com.

Me, I'd probably pay a little extra and have more time in the cities I was visiting by taking the TGV trains.  www.voyages-sncf.fr
