What is the best mode of transportation to travel from Paris to Nice? As we have limited vacation days, should we spend more time in Paris, Nice or Monaco?

  1. Transportation...well flight is fast and cheap, and trains take a bit longer, but cheap too. As for locations, i'd say paris is better if u're a culture vulture, and nice/monaco (as they're relatively close) are better if u're looking for a bit of sun and beach. However Monaco will sting you're wallet!!

  2. Easyjet flies Paris - NIce for about 80 Euro roundtrip. Probably it'll be the fastest and still cheap.

There is no TGV train all the way to Nice, so train will take longer than to, let's say, Marseilles. If I remember correctly, it's about 8 hours by train.

  3. Fly to Nice from Paris.  Riding the trains in Europe gets old really fast.  The train food is nothing special.  Just packaged (like in supermarkets) & expensive.  There is train service from Nice to Monaco.  If you rent a car, it's easier to see some of the coastal towns (Menton, etc.) and Monaco.

  4. How many days is your vacation? For Paris (not me and Paris Hilton has no connection.....), even a life would be not enough. So, try to spend the more possible in Paris, then, by plane,2-3 days in Nice. From here you can do a one-day trip to Monte Carlo. Bon voyage !

  5. Trains in France are great.  Take the train (SNCF) You'll get a really fast one TGV between Paris and Nice.

Paris if you really want the tourist experience and history.  Nice is more expensive, beachy area.  It depends on which experience you prefer.  If you go to Monaco just stay in Nice and travel to Monaco for the day.  It's way too expensive to stay there.
