It has been revealed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Park-Chu-Young-c29137 has been included in the squad list for the South Korean team that will be participating in the London Olympics 2012.
The striker is set to be one of the three senior players in the team and he will be joined by fellow Premier League player and Sunderland midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ji-Dong-Won-c18522. The third senior player on the list is believed to be Celtic midfielder, Ki Sung-Yueng.
Surprisingly, the squad that has been picked to represent the country in the Olympics has only six players from the J-League and four from Europe.
South Korea are set to take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Switzerland-c3016 starting on the 26th of July.
With Park now being a part of the team once again, he is bound to miss out on some of the opening day fixtures for Arsenal.
Normally, this would have been a major problem for a team, with one of their players missing games to represent his country, but in Park’s case things this might not cause that big of a problem.
Following his move to the club last season, Park has failed to prove his worth to the team. However, this is not entirely his fault.
The Gunners were heavily reliant on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 last term and as a result, almost every other striker, including Park and as  a result ever other striker was left on the sidelines.
This season, Park could face more problems trying to get a spot in the team, or even making an appearance for the Gunners. The team went on to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 and Olivier Giroud to enhance their striker force and the duo are well above Park in the pecking
order.
Many believe that Park should take this opportunity to play in the Olympics, to prove his worth. This could help Arsene Wenger see his true qualities and at the same time, it could interest another club into signing the striker.
Nonetheless, with the ample playing time that Park is going to get in the Olympics, it is going to be interesting to see whether he has made any progress following his move to the Emirates.
