Park Joo Bong declares Lin Dan invincible in Thomas Cup and London Olympics 2012
Lin Dan has built up a decent fan following in almost every corner of the world with a new addition in this list is head coach of Japan Park Joo Bong. He declared the maestro as the undisputed king of badminton world who will remain indomitable in Thomas
Cup and London Olympics 2012.
The Chinese ace, who holds World and Olympics champion titles, is right now swinging his arms in Thomas Cup Finals and he has successfully managed to remain unbeatable in the prestigious team event.
Lin Dan will now lead his team in final match against South Korea and Joo Bong thinks that the maestro will not find any trouble in fetching first match point for his country.
He also added that first three encounters are crucial as Koreans may fire in Doubles event and if China rules in Singles ties then it will tip the scale in their favour.
He said, “China’s success against South Korea will depend on the first three matches but Lin Dan should win.”
World Number two shuttler will lock horns with veteran shuttler Lee Hyun Il who has surrendered 12 times in their 15 previous meetings.
Earlier in semi-final contest, Lin Dan looked bit off colour as he had to sweat hard against lower ranked Japanese shuttler Sho Sasaki before wrapping the show with 23-21 and 21-17.
The chief coach of Japan, Joo Bong commended court craft of his campaigner and stated that the Chinese was not at his best which helped Sasaki to register his class.
He said, “Sasaki played exceptionally well for us but it was not the best I have seen from Lin Dan, although he caught up from 11-15 in the first game. He did just enough to stay ahead of Sasaki.”
Moreover, the legendary Doubles shuttler also declared that Lin Dan will stamp his supremacy in London Games as his biggest contender Lee Chong Wei is struggling to get back on his feet.
Joo Bong also ranked him higher than his compatriots World Number three Chen Long and Number four Chen Jin who are also strong contenders along with Sho Sasaki and Kenichi Tago from Japan.
