Park Ranger Requirments?

Anyone one a park ranger??

I would really love it if someone could just list all the courses I would need to take to become a succesful park ranger with an income of at least $30000 a year(starting).

In Florida, a state park ranger starts at about $25000. Once you work your way up to assistant manager, you'll be making OK money. No real course requirements, just an interest in nature and an aptitude for doing mechanical repairs and maintenance. Yes, you will be painting, emptying trash, fixing fences and collecting entry fees. It's not as glamorous as you might think.

The requirements to become a park ranger are rather vague and differ depending on location. You do need a university degree and must be a U.S. citizen. Volunteering at a Park will help your chances, as will working during the summer at a Park. The following is taken from the source listed below.

EDUCATION: Major study - natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archaeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subjects pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources. Course work in fields other than those specified may be accepted if it clearly provides applicants with the background of knowledge and skills necessary for successful job performance in the position to be filled.
