The Korean has made the switch to London from Manchester and claims that he did so to test his abilities in new surroundings.
Having been an integral part of the side for the last couple of years, Ji-Sung Park’s importance to Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson could be judged by the fact that the Scot relied upon him as his big game player.
Whether it is the semi-final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, Park was always back on Fergie’s mind whenever a big match came around.
While not the deadliest attacker at Old Trafford, or the most skilled, the player’s ability was to work his socks every time he took to the pitch and it helped him garner rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
However last season was far from perfect for the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven man, as he struggled with injuries and stiff competition within the squad. All in all, he only played 28 games, but still managed to find the back of the net three times before the campaign
concluded.
Now having signed for Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314, Park is looking forward to a new challenge at Loftus Road, claiming that a change of scenery was one of the main reasons why he agreed to the move in the first place.
“It was a very difficult decision, it’s hard to leave such a big club, but QPR showed me what they are trying to be. It is time for a new challenge. QPR want to be a bigger club, they want to improve and it’s a great challenge. It was a difficult decision
but they have great players and they are hungry to get to the next level. It’s not about the money,” he said.
“The manager Mark Hughes has a proven track record at Premier League level and I am looking forward to working with him and the rest of the squad to help take the club to the next level,” the 31-year-old was quoted as saying.
QPR only managed to avoid relegation in the last game of the season, but will surely try to improve after splashing the cash on several signings this summer.
