Did you tell the other driver?  This kind of small scratches are considered by some to be par for the course in parking lots...

The insurance will definitely cover it but is it worth it in the long run for your insurance rate to go up...sometimes getting it fixed on your own is easier

of course it will!  Thats what you have insurance for!

and please... dont listen to people saying your rates will skyrocket.  this is a itty bitty minor accident and will likely not have a huge effect.

even the smallest repair usually cost 500-1000 and also keep in mind you would owe them a rental.  i highly doubt your insurance rate increase will be anywhere near that!

file a claim and let the professionals handle it- thats what they are there for.

If fixing it out of pocket is cheaper than having the ins. company get involved, pay for it yourself.  Your premiums WILL go up.  In the long run, it usually is better to pay out of your pocket.  Insurance cos  will sometimes deny you coverage if you have too many claims.  They get you one way or the other.  My ins went down a lot after the age of 25 with no claims.
