Parker and hale 243 ?

I have a parker and hale 243 safari

and Its got "Bentley" stamped across the barrel up from Safari cal 243w

what does this all mean and are these rifles and good

  1. I'm an aussie,

    Parker Hale are very popular in Australia especially in 243 and 22-250. Very accurate and reliable british rifle.

    Mine is 30 years old and has had over 5000 shots through it and it still shoots sub inch groups at 100.

    As the guy above me said; the 243 is good enough for anything in Australia. However big buffalo are a bit of a challenge with the 243 and 22-250 but with good bullet placement and if you get within 100 they both take them down. If you load the 243 up to 100 gr it will easily take anything in australia.


  2. Parker and Hale is a high end british rifle, I don't have much experience with it beyond it being a very fine gun.

    243 is an excellent cartridge for any game you are likely to find in australia, including the red deer some people have been moving in
