Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielder, Scott Parker has gone on to claim that the Spurs current season would be a massive waste if they didn’t finish in the top four.
At one point in the season, many believed that Tottenham would be able to go on and contest for the Premier League crown.
The team went on to go eleven games without losing a game and seemed to be on par with both the teams from Manchester.
Following that rather impressive start to the season, the team seems to have fallen apart, as they happen to have hit some bad form lately.

Based on how the season has been going, Parker went on to insist that finishing in the top four would be the minimal requirements that are expected from the team and hopes for his side to be able to secure a Champions League spot.
"If we don't end up fourth we will have failed as a squad," Parker told reporters.
"We've had a fantastic ride this year and we've dipped, that's obvious.”
"Even our own manager is probably doubting us a little bit at the moment. Others, too, like our own fans."

However, Parker believes that the manager’s future has nothing to do with the way the team is playing, since the players are just feeling a little fatigued and need to focus in order to start picking up favourable results in the coming weeks.
"Has the speculation about the manager affected us? I wouldn't like to think it had," Parker continued.
"It's probably a combination of a few things - dip in form, a bit of tiredness, but we need to try to stay mentally strong and grind it out now."
