Question:

Parking Cars when shopping etc.??

I have this theory that many drivers (especially women) are so uptight about parking their cars that they are too frightened to park them in small areas that might be right near the entrances in to say a supermarket as they are scared of intricate moves to get their car in properly and/or paranoid re getting their vehicles damaged. Am I right re this? Like I believe in getting the choice spots and waiting say 5 minutes for someone to leave whereas a lot of drivers freak out in these situations???

  1. No you are completely wrong.

  2. Are u saying you wait and wait till u get a spot near the entrances? Or are u saying others do this because they do not know how to park in small spaces?

Either way I think the people who wait for spots near the entrances actually cause others to wait behind them for no reason and thus cause futher angst.

I don't think its the parking that bothers some people, but I have seen some amazing 399 point turns as some people try to reverse out when they are leaving!! (again the waiting game for others!)

  3. your kidding right I have seen women nearly run people down to get one spot closer to the door

  4. nothing is more frustrating then getting stuck behind someone that is waiting for someone else to load the groceries into there vehicle, put the shopping cart up and back there vehicle out, if the actually took 2 seconds and thought about it, they could find another parking spot, and be inside by the time the people they were waiting for are pulling out. Its really lazyness takin to an idiotic level.

  5. That would depend on other elements. Time of day, how busy said location is, how many other people are trying to find parking spots as well (and ultimately causing a parking lot traffic jam waiting on any individual to leave so you can take their parking place (if there arent others waiting in the opposite direction of you as well))   For the most part, there is no sure way to avoid damages to ones vehicle in a public parking lot (such as a supermarket) because accidents, and people tend to be thoughtless and careless about such things as shopping carts, other peoples cars, etc.  The only thng you can do in these situations to avoid issues like this is to find a parking space (distance from door to car dont matter) go in, get what you need, and get out.  The less time the car is in the parking lot, the less likely that said car will get damaged.  (Unless of course someone is TRYING to damage your car intentionally)
