  1. I'm not from the U.K. but I would say it's wrong.

  2. You should always park so that the traffic coming from behind you can see your taillight and never your headlights.

  3. Yes.

Only the tail lights have reflectors.

  4. It used to be and you could have got a ticket for parking that way but I'm not sure whether the law has been repeeled or whether the police turn a blind eye because of the paperwork involved in proccessing a minor offence..You can check the road traffic act on line to find out ,I would do this for you but I'm too busy answering questions on here (Sorry)

  5. You would get a ticket in the US

  6. Yes it is in a 40mph speed area or above.  Any roads with a speed limit of 40 or more do not have to have street lamps and therefore show rear of vehicle 'red reflector lights' helps other drivers with road position and will therefore keep to the left in UK.  If you have a designated bay in a speed limit above 30mph you may still park either way. Hope this helps.

  7. its not against the law but its looked upon as a wrong thing to do.

when you set off you will be driving head on into on cumming traffic

  8. Highway code Section 248

You MUST NOT park on a road at night facing against the direction of the traffic flow unless in a recognised parking space.

[Laws CUR reg 101 & RVLR reg 24]

249 All vehicles MUST display parking lights when parked on a road or a lay-by on a road with a speed limit greater than 30 mph (48 km/h).

    .

  9. Yes it is Illegal I know of one person that was find for doing that.

  10. It is meant to yes, because you don't have reflectors on your front so cars can't see your parked car.  I learnt that from my driving teacher.

  11. Not that I know of.

  12. Actually I hate parking against the traffic except outside my house as we have a very quiet road. I will drive round the block or find somewhere to turn round rather than park the wrong side of the road
